Hey guys, it's been about two years since I accepted Christ as my Lord and Savior and I want to share with you what He has done in my life. I didn't grow up in much of a Christian home, in fact, the only times I ever went to church was when my grandma would call and see if we wanted a ride (and I accidently answered the phone). So what made me decide to follow Christ? Well, I didn't have any anticipations on going to church, nor any excitement on waking up at 8:00am Sunday morning to get dressed up to go sit for an hour and listen to some guy scream at me. But my stepdad's mom was fussing because neither me nor my brother were in church, so one Sunday, we were taken to church and almost instantly, I was hooked. After three months of learning about God, I decided it was time to stop running from Him. It happened during Spring Break camp in 2007. Tony Nolan said "Guys, look at those red exit signs in the back of the room... I had a group of kids once that had just accepted Jesus as their Savior and passed under those signs and almost instantly were killed in a car wreck. I don't want you to pass under those signs tonight without knowing God and what He has done for you." Something inside of me stirred and when He asked if anyone had accepted Christ that night, something just pulled me out of my seat and I stood there with my arms held up as high as they would reach. That was the night I stopped running. Now, with God on my side, I feel like I can do anything with His help. Its as Philippians 4:13 says "I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

Where do I even begin?? Let's see. I was born and raised into a Christian home where I immediately encountered a lot of broken relationships within my family and with the people around me.  Being bullied for most of my childhood, I've always wondered what it meant to be loved for who I was. Over time, I've been through rough relationships, investing time, energy, and love, and not really reaping anything significant. This year, God has been teaching me what True Love is and I'm happy to say that I'm finally falling in love. I'm falling in love with Love Himself, and I couldn't be more blessed. Whether God has a friend, soul-mate, and/or significant other for me someday, I will work to invest myself in Him first and foremost; everything else will fall into place after that. After loving God, I love people. I have a passion for youth, specifically. I love helping people, praying for people, and watching people grow closer to Christ. God has given me the gift of empathy and (though it took time,) patience. I enjoy just listening and giving advice when asked, so never hesitate to contact me or give me a shout!  All in all, God is my everything; my life and my love, and all I want to do now is spread it!
